Fixed fibreglass sleeves are primarily used for mechanical protection for various parts like cables and such. They offer mechanical and excellent thermal and flame protection. They are manufactured from glass yarn that is woven into tubes with a fixing agent applied on top that helps them retain their shape. Compared to other types of sleeves with additional layers of coating, there is no electrical protection.
The fibreglass sleeves are a series of glass yarn woven together forming a hollow cylinder. The diameters we manufacture range from 0.5mm to 24mm. The thickness of these tunes is also controlled by the size of the yarn, allowing for even greater variety.
The product is typically rolled on rolls in 50m, 100m or 200m (depending on the size). Alternatively, it can be cut into 1m pieces and bundled together. Custom lengths are also available on request.
