Polyurethane fibreglass sleeves are widely used as insulators for cables. They offer not only electrical protection but also mechanical and thermal protection as well. They are manufactured from glass yarn that is woven into tubes and a layer of polyurethane lacquer applied on top.
The base fibreglass sleeves are a series of glass yarn woven together forming a hollow cylinder. The diameters we manufacture range from 0.5mm to 24mm. The thickness of these tunes is also controlled by the size of the yarn, allowing for even greater variety. Based on requirements, the thickness of the layer of polyurethane lacquer can be adjusted to increase, or decrease, the electrical protection and thickness.
The product is typically rolled on rolls in 50m, 100m or 200m (depending on the size). Alternatively, it can be cut into 1m pieces and bundled together. Custom lengths are also available on request.
